LOUD & QUEER Teen Pride Festival
Girls Rock Cincinnati is excited to present Loud & Queer, Cincinnati’s first teen pride festival celebrating and supporting the amazing young musicians and artists in our community. Join us for music, crafts, youth vendors, resources, and more.
Funds raised will go directly to supporting financial assistance for teens enrolled in our annual summer camp and providing access to high quality music education and performance opportunities for girls and gender expansive youth ages 12-18.
FREE and all ages with a suggested donation of $5-15 for adults 18+. This is a sober/dry event!
Art For Action
Join us again for Art for Action, an open event to be in community and create art.
Drawing, painting, collage, poetry, and more all encouraged, at every skill level. Tea, snacks, and art supplies provided, and you are more than welcome to bring a craft or project of your own. (Please bring your own mug!)
This upcoming Monday, March 11, from 6-8pm WordPlay Cincy (1556 Chase Ave) the space is accessible, and all ages are welcome.
We encourage you to make art with a call to action about something you care deeply about, or to use art to process big emotions.
Valentine's Veil: A Twilight Soiree
Join us at ARCO for a night of music, dancing, and fundraising!
This ALL AGES event will feature live music, crafts, tarot readings, a snack bar, mocktails, and raffles!
“Twilight” or goth themed attire welcomed :)
ARCO is ADA accessible and has free off-street parking.
Library Workshop: Songwriting on Guitar with Brooks
Girls Rock is so excited to be partnering with the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Libraries this summer for a series of FREE teen workshops!
Join us on July 15th in Price Hill for Songwriting on Guitar with Brooks
Ever wanted to write your own songs? Do you want to learn to play an instrument but don't know where to start? Join us for an afternoon beginner songwriting workshop! You will learn a few chords on the guitar, how to teach yourself a song you heard on the radio and the basics of songwriting. No musical experience is required! Bring your own instrument or borrow one of ours.

Library Workshop: Comics with Kacen
Girls Rock is so excited to be partnering with the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Libraries this summer for a series of FREE teen workshops!

Have you ever wanted to create your own superhero? Do you love comics and cartoons and want to design your own? Join Girls Rock teaching artist Abby Kacen to learn the basics of writing, planning, and drawing your very own comic strips. All teens are welcome, no experience required.

Join us at WordPlay Cincy on Saturday, June 17th, from 2-5 PM for music from Microbat, Stay Mad, and DJ Rad D
There will also be a variety of N/A beverages, treats from Issi Bakes, and vegan donuts from Kes’s Donuts, along with art activities & artist vendors!
If your camper is attending our summer camp for the first time this year, this is a great way to scope out WordPlay (where we’ll be hosting camp) and meet the Girls Rock Community!
Library Workshop: Nature Monotypes with Permabuds
Girls Rock is so excited to be partnering with the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Libraries this summer for a series of FREE teen workshops!
Join us at the Walnut Hills Branch Library to kick-off the series with DIY Nature Monotypes
Teens will create prints with flowers, grasses & natural materials. Learn how to create your own simple monotype prints with Permabuds & Girls Rock, and then spend the afternoon making your own postcards, posters, prints, & mini-zines!

Summer Camp 2022 Final Performance
Join us for the final performance of camp - see what campers have been working on all week and enjoy performances from each newly formed band!
Everyone welcome, please wear a mask! This event will be held outdoors at WordPlay Cincinnati, 1556 Chase Ave.
Doors and art show at 6:30, performances from 7-8pm.
Suggested donation of $5-15, but no one will be turned away.
Girls Rock Summer Camp 2022
Our 2022 Summer Camp is open to girls and gender expansive youth ages 12-18, with activities focused on using creative arts as a vehicle for social change, and opportunities to build skills in instrumental music, vocals, songwriting, and visual arts. Campers do not need any formal experience! We welcome all skill levels. Campers will take instrument lessons, collaborate on original creative works, attend workshops and performances by local musicians and artists, and play a final performance at the end of the week for their families and community members.

Girls Rock Cincinnati at 5 Points Alley
Join Girls Rock Cincinnati for an evening of workshops, poetry, music, and more at the beautiful art-filled 5 Points Alley! This event is a chance for campers, families, volunteers, and anyone interested in our community to gather, make art and music together, and have a good time prior to our summer camp the final week of July.
Instrument playground & Polaroid collage workshop
Poetry reading by Myriam Wane from Cincinnati for Justice, and performances by local dream pop band BERSHY and the sweet sounds of DJ Paloma.
Honey Child Pops will be there with their popsicle cart! Food and drink can also be brought in from any of the amazing restaurants or businesses in Walnut Hills.
This event is outdoors, ALL AGES, and open to the public. Donations to support the performers and our camp are welcome!
Girls Rock Open Mic
Join us at Locoba by Platform at 1201 Main St. in OTR for an all ages open mic! Music, poetry, stories, jokes, and more are welcome. $1 from every beer sold will benefit Girls Rock Cincinnati, and coffee service will be open late.
